HEALTH CENTER, GAMARRA, MÁLAGA

The building is a health center in a historic neighborhood in the center of Málaga. It is a two-story detached building, constructed on top of an existing parking facility that determines its structure and height. It features a simple and orderly volumetry, in an “L” shape, aligned with the adjacent building to ensure urban coherence, with separate access points that clearly organize pedestrian, healthcare, and service flows.

The functional layout separates, on the ground floor, the healthcare and public service areas, and on the upper floor, the staff and support spaces. The design incorporates interior courtyards to improve natural lighting and ventilation, and is constructed using a lightweight metal structure, a high-performance envelope, and high-efficiency systems.
