The main objective of social housing development is to meet as many housing needs as possible, based on the determined standards of materials and dimensions, considering the available resources (land and financing). The technical standards of design and quality of public housing have largely conditioned the projected solution, in terms of surface area, number of bedrooms, distribution. Therefore, it responds to the need for low-cost rental housing with minimum dimensions for young people. It was decided to adopt an open block typology on the plot, using the two-bedroom dwelling as the main type. This volumetric distribution achieves optimum performance of the plot in terms of number of dwellings and their quality, and at the same time reflects the strict application of the urban planning regulations.
