Colcha Street. Grenada.

Multi-family building consisting of 3 houses and premises in one of the most traditional streets of Granada. Next to the Alhambra and in the heart of the city, the idea was to create a building that, using a contemporary language, would dialogue with the surrounding buildings. The homes are distributed over three floors with a program of 3 and 4 bedrooms. The constructed surface areas of the homes range from 93 to 132 m2. The last of the dwellings is a duplex, with the day and night programs inverted, with spectacular views of the Torre de la Vela, in the surroundings of the Alhambra. A maximum integration with the surrounding buildings was proposed, which resulted in a compositional design of the hollow-balcony that, using a contemporary language, rescues the compositional essence of the traditional designs of the surrounding traditional houses.
